Christopher M. Bland

Christopher M. Bland, PharmD, FCCP, FIDSA, BCPS, is the Albert W. Jowdy Professor in Pharmacy Care at the University of Georgia (UGA) College of Pharmacy. Chris completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. He practices as an infectious diseases pharmacist at the Southeast GA campus in Savannah, GA. Chris is the co-founder of Teach Me Pharm, a platform focused on teaching pharmacology and drug therapy to healthcare professionals using concise, engaging, educational videos. He is also the co-founder of the Southeastern Research Group Endeavor (SERGE-45), an infectious diseases research practice-based network across 14 states, which promotes mentoring of young researchers and completes multicenter research across many diverse facilities. He is an internationally renowned speaker and conducts national pharmacy board preparation courses.

Trisha N. Branan

Trisha N. Branan, PharmD, BCCCP, FCCM is a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Department Head for Professional Education at the UGA College of Pharmacy in Athens, Georgia. She practices as a critical care pharmacist at Piedmont Athens Regional. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UGA College of Pharmacy and completed post-graduate training at the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia and at University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has served in many leadership roles in state and national pharmacy professional organizations, including President of the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She has been integral in the design and implementation of the pharmacy curriculum and has been nationally recognized for excellence in pharmacy education.

W. Anthony Hawkins

W. Anthony Hawkins, PharmD, BCCCP, FCCM joined the faculty at UGA in 2014 after completing his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the UGA College of Pharmacy and completing 2 years of post-graduate critical care training at Emory University Hospital. Dr. Hawkins is nationally recognized for his innovative pharmacy services in fluid stewardship. In addition, Dr. Hawkins focuses his scholarly and teaching efforts on using educational theory to inform the design of didactic and experiential learning and promote professional identity. This has led to numerous invited presentations on preceptor and faculty development and award recognition in the areas of teaching and educational innovation.

Andrea Sikora

Andrea Sikora, PharmD, MSCR, BCCCP, FCCM, FCCP is a Clinical Associate Professor at the UGA College of Pharmacy. She practices as a critical care pharmacist at AU Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UGA College of Pharmacy, completed two years of post-graduate residency training at the University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC, and completed her Master of Science in Clinical Research from Emory University. She has received over $2 million in federal grants evaluating applications of artificial intelligence for optimized medication use in the intensive care unit and authored the book Pay It Forward: A Map to Mentorship in Medicine.

Susan E. Smith

Susan E. Smith, PharmD, BCCCP, FCCM is Chair of the UGA Critical Care Collaborative (UGAC3) and is a Clinical Associate Professor at the UGA College of Pharmacy. She practices as a critical care pharmacist at Piedmont Athens Regional in Athens, Georgia. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy and completed post-graduate training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has an active, extramurally funded research program related to critical care pharmacy practice and education. She has served in numerous nationally elected leadership roles in professional associations. She was additionally a member of Cohort 20 of the AACP Academic Leadership Fellows Program.
